Student Multi-Factor Authentication Instructions

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for almost all services used at Careeria.

Below is an example of signing in to office.com.

1) Go to Office.com ja and sign in with your student credentials (firstname.lastname@student.careeria.fi).

2) Enter your password.

3) Make sure that the last digits of the phone number shown match your own number, and then click “Text +xxx…”.

4) You will then receive a verification code by SMS to your phone. Microsoft sends the verification code from international numbers.

The message often looks like the example below.

5) Enter the six-digit verification code in the field below and click “Verify.”
Note: The verification code must be entered within 5 minutes.

Error situations

  • If the text message does not arrive, make sure the number is your own. Your teacher can check your phone number in Wilma.
  • If the phone number is correct but the message still does not arrive, make sure your phone is able to receive SMS messages
